This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Cute crafts but it would be difficult to make a majority of the crafts for an adult from following the instructions let alone a child。

This is such an amazing book!! We absolutely love it!! The book is split into role play, games, art, activities and craft。 The ideas are so fantastic and my little ones haven't stopped looking through the pages deciding which ones we are going to do。 Most of the things are made up from things we have at home but some are super special and I've made a shopping list。 My girl is so excited about the mermaid pegs, the fireworks display, and I want to do the sliding image and glow in the dark necklac This is such an amazing book!! Excellent ideas using cost effective methods and easy to access materials。 Great step by step instructions and corresponding images。 The trivia and character notes are an added bonus and focus attention to the activity at hand。 5/5

The book is filled with hundreds of stunning photos。 An older child could easily find exactly what they wanted to do。 The text is broken into easy to read boxes and sections。 The items needed could frequently be found in the house but some of these projects require more diverse and higher quality materials。 The page-through appeal is outstanding in this gorgeous book。 Although this book is a non fiction how-to book it still inspires thoughts of fantasy。 The characters from the movies we all lov The book is filled with hundreds of stunning photos。 An older child could easily find exactly what they wanted to do。 The text is broken into easy to read boxes and sections。 The items needed could frequently be found in the house but some of these projects require more diverse and higher quality materials。 The page-through appeal is outstanding in this gorgeous book。 Although this book is a non fiction how-to book it still inspires thoughts of fantasy。 The characters from the movies we all love are there。 The projects can help us pull a piece of fantasy into the real world。 The color schemes even evoke memories of the movies。 The templates in the back of the book along with step by step instruction in the main section of the book help the reader get the proper aesthetics for the characters。 The table of contents is broken down into five sections: Make-Believe, Games, Art, Activities, and Crafts。 This is followed by Find Your Favorites, a list of movies with their projects and the pages that the projects are on。 This book has stuff for Disney fans of all ages。 It also has plenty of projects that boys will love。 In the past it felt like Disney was all about the princesses。 This compilation is an example of how they have broadened there fan base to include boys more。 I guess my point is that I like this book a lot。 It has something for everyone and its fun。 。。。more

As you may have guessed, this is a beautifully-aesthetic book with Disney's usual high-quality projects, graphics, diagrams, ideas, and photography。On the 'Before You Begin' page there is a yellow sidebar with a caution symbol which is an 'Important note to parents and carers。' {Side note: I have never heard the term, carer, so I looked it up on the online Oxford Dictionary, see entry shown below。 I love learning new vocabulary words!}nounBritishA family member or paid helper who regularly look As you may have guessed, this is a beautifully-aesthetic book with Disney's usual high-quality projects, graphics, diagrams, ideas, and photography。On the 'Before You Begin' page there is a yellow sidebar with a caution symbol which is an 'Important note to parents and carers。' {Side note: I have never heard the term, carer, so I looked it up on the online Oxford Dictionary, see entry shown below。 I love learning new vocabulary words!}nounBritishA family member or paid helper who regularly looks after a child or a sick, elderly, or disabled person。‘elderly people and their carers need long-term support’Parents and carers are cautioned about supervising their youngsters while working on the crafts and activities included in the book。The first part of the book is dedicated to safety, materials lists, and tips on how to use the templates, etc。 There is a sidebar on the second page titled, 'Go Green!', which encourages learners to use recyclables for their projects whenever possible。The book is divided into five sections: 'Make-Believe', 'Games', 'Art', 'Activities', and 'Craft'。 Each section contains between 14 and 24 projects with stepped-out instructions, diagrams and/or photographs, and tips。 References are made throughout the book to various Disney film projects spanning from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs forward through Frozen。There are appealing projects and activities for children of either gender preference。 Projects from diverse cultures around the world are also included: a Flower Crown from Polynesia, Papel Picado for the Day of the Dead in Mexico, Pocahontas's necklace, Animal-Feet Stilts from Africa, Cupcake-Liner Lei for Hawaii, Mushu Shadow Puppet Project and Mulan's Training Camp Game for China; and Baymax Origami from Japan! My favorite projects included Buzz Lightyear's Wings, the Fairy Garden, Cinderella's Reversible Apron/Ball Gown, Winnie the Pooh Felt Finger Puppets, Cardboard Car Costumes, Elsa's Sparkly Cape, a Pumpkin Coach (made from a real pumpkin), and the Seven Dwarf Pins Bowling Game。This book has much to offer for those looking for rainy-day projects or birthday party ideas for children。Highly-recommended to parents/grandparents/carers, youth group/church group leaders, youth camp organizers, teachers, librarians, and anybody who loves hands-on activities which are colorful, appealing, and maker-friendly。I borrowed this book from the non-fiction shelf in the New Books section of the children's collection at the local public library。################ 。。。more

Elizabeth Dowsett's Disney Ideas Book: More than 100 Disney Crafts, Activities, and Games is a little disappointing because as a 2019 edition I expected it to contain some of the characters from Descendants。 It did contain a wealth of ideas for crafts, activities and games (which were made with character themes before they could be played。 I did find the multiple choice Disney character quiz interesting and am thinking of even having my family play it at an upcoming holiday gathering。 Elizabeth Dowsett's Disney Ideas Book: More than 100 Disney Crafts, Activities, and Games is a little disappointing because as a 2019 edition I expected it to contain some of the characters from Descendants。 It did contain a wealth of ideas for crafts, activities and games (which were made with character themes before they could be played。 I did find the multiple choice Disney character quiz interesting and am thinking of even having my family play it at an upcoming holiday gathering。 。。。more

There are pages that are excellent for both Halloween and cosplay: Moana's Flower Crown, the Rags-to-Riches Apron, Felt Animal Masks, Selfie Props, Salt-Dough Necklace, Elsa's Sparkly Cape, Playing-Card Costumes, Peter Pan's Pirate Hook, Cupcake-Liner-Lei, Buzz's Lightyear Wings, Felt Ears, etc。 There are also a few pages that contain some rather unique home decor ideas, such as DIY Disney Princess personalized letters。There are many creative games and activities based on various Disney characte There are pages that are excellent for both Halloween and cosplay: Moana's Flower Crown, the Rags-to-Riches Apron, Felt Animal Masks, Selfie Props, Salt-Dough Necklace, Elsa's Sparkly Cape, Playing-Card Costumes, Peter Pan's Pirate Hook, Cupcake-Liner-Lei, Buzz's Lightyear Wings, Felt Ears, etc。 There are also a few pages that contain some rather unique home decor ideas, such as DIY Disney Princess personalized letters。There are many creative games and activities based on various Disney characters and movies that are filled with fun ways to engage children in creative play and improve motor skills。 They could encourage bonding and social time with parents and peers。 I also like that the book has facts sprinkled here and there about the various Disney characters the craft/game/activity is based on。 It offers interactive elements for children。I am most excited about Tinker Bell's Fairy Garden, Mushu Shadow Puppet, Cinderella's Fairy-Tale Castle, Hercules Constellation Jar, Belle's Book Garland, Belle's Enchanted Rose Glitter Jar, and the Inside Out's Memory Spheres。 。。。more
